Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend required | Rotating holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit during night shift hours
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry data for assigned patients
- Care for orthopedic and surgical patient populations
- Float to other facilities within the health system as needed
- Complete a mandatory EKG competency test on the first day of assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license
- ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience; new graduates are not eligible
- Must be flexible to float to additional system locations
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with orthopedic patient populations
- Experience with surgical patient populations
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
