Registered Nurse – Respiratory / Medical-Surgical (Night Shift)

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required | No on-call requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care primarily on a Respiratory unit, including care for patients with respiratory conditions
• Float occasionally between various Medical-Surgical units, which may include Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED/Med-Surg boarder assignments
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings accurately and independently; telemetry competency will be assessed on the first day of assignment
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR — current proficiency is required prior to start

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN License required
• Active BLS Certification required
• Minimum 3 years of current and recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown nursing experience required; must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry
• Current Epic EMR proficiency required — candidates must be independently proficient prior to the start of the assignment; on-site orientation or remedial Epic training is not available

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for patients with respiratory conditions or in a respiratory-focused unit
• Familiarity with a broad range of Medical-Surgical specialties, including Oncology, Stroke, Cardiac, or Wound Care
