Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Float Pool)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Float between Med/Surg Telemetry and IMC units as part of a float pool assignment
• Manage patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6 depending on unit assignment
• Provide care for patients presenting with conditions including acute respiratory distress, septic shock, hypertensive crisis, severe congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and trauma
• Complete orientation modules and annual competency modules through the Relias/Net Learning portal (non-billable, average 4–8 hours)
• Adhere to facility floating policies in compliance with current Joint Commission standards
• Expected to work some holidays and weekends per facility scheduling requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Recent Epic EMR experience is required — must be documented on submission
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2+ years of Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele) experience in a hospital setting
• Minimum 2+ years of IMC unit experience in a hospital setting — must be documented on submission
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers are not eligible for this position)
• Experience caring for high-acuity patients including those in septic shock or with cardiovascular emergencies
• Familiarity with Relias or Net Learning compliance platforms
