Travel MLT / Medical Laboratory Technician – Laboratory (Nights)

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift | 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM | Alternating Weekends | Projected Start: September 7, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Perform generalist laboratory functions across multiple testing areas within a 214-bed acute care facility
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including Sysmex, Siemens, Iris, Vision, Genexpert, Sofia, Abbott, and Werfen platforms
• Accurately collect, process, and analyze patient specimens in accordance with established laboratory protocols
• Collaborate with laboratory supervisors and staff during night shift operations to ensure timely and accurate results
• Adhere to all unit guidelines, policies, and dress code requirements (gray scrubs); policies provided upon orientation

Required Qualifications

• Active ASCP MLT, ASCP MLS, AMT MLT, or AMT MLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience
• Candidates must not have a Blood Bank background — applicants with Blood Bank history will not be considered for this role
• Ability to work alternating weekends as part of the standard schedule

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Generalist laboratory experience strongly preferred
• Adaptable to change and able to function effectively as a team player in a fast-paced environment
