Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit across day shift hours
• Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as assessed during orientation
• Administer and manage medications safely; proficiency evaluated via safeMedicate assessment during orientation
• Accurately document and track hours worked using the designated time-tracking platform
• Obtain NIHSS certification prior to start date
• Complete required annual hands-on competency training and pre-start modules as directed

Required Qualifications

• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or valid Compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted
• AHA BLS certification — must be active and in hand at time of submission
• ACLS certification — must be active and in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
• One professional reference required from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months — co-worker references will not be accepted
• Must be willing to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start
• Candidates must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation; a maximum of two attempts are permitted — failure to pass may result in cancellation
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• No open background or license hits — facility does not accept travelers with open cases or license hits of any kind
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Permanent Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience consolidated within a single facility
• Prior experience working within a large health system environment
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
