Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Function as a float nurse, assigned to units based on staffing needs as directed by the nursing supervisor
• Provide direct patient care across a variety of acute care units, which may include medical, surgical, oncology, orthopedics, neurology, cardiac, pulmonary, vascular, trauma, and observation settings
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR
• Adapt clinical practice to varying patient ratios, typically 1:6, and differing unit acuity levels
• Fulfill every-other-weekend scheduling requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Tennessee RN license or valid compact (multi-state) RN license — must be in hand at time of submittal; pending licenses are not accepted
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a comparable acuity hospital setting
• Cerner EMR experience required
• 2 professional references required (may be pending at time of submittal)
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience as a float or resource nurse across multiple acute care specialties
• Familiarity with a broad range of clinical areas including oncology, neurology, cardiac surgery, trauma, or vascular care
• Ability to quickly adapt to new unit environments and patient populations
