Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a PCU/Stepdown setting within a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center environment
• Titrate and manage cardiac drips — this is a hard-stop requirement for this role
• Maintain expected patient ratios of 1:4–5
• Float to Telemetry or Medical-Surgical floors as needed when unit is overstaffed; travelers are first to float
• Document patient care and assessments using Epic electronic health records
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day); candidates may select either Thanksgiving or Christmas, but not both

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of PCU/Stepdown experience required
• Demonstrated experience titrating and managing cardiac drips
• Must commit to all RTO and scheduling requests upfront at time of submittal — post-submittal RTO requests may not be considered
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals may be considered at an adjusted rate)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a teaching hospital or high-acuity acute care environment
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and medical-surgical float coverage
• Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center setting
