Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care within a verified Level 2 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center
• Deliver patient care across a 40-room Emergency Department utilizing a Team Nursing approach
• Administer and document medications using Pyxis and chart via EPIC
• Care for patients in non-monitored rooms, monitored rooms, and resuscitation bays as assigned
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• Attend and complete all required orientation days; mandatory attendance is required for all 7 days of orientation

Required Qualifications

• Current Indiana RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• BLS certification – American Heart Association only
• ACLS certification – American Heart Association only
• PALS certification – American Heart Association only
• TNCC or ATCN certification required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at the standard rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS certification strongly preferred
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication administration systems
• Familiarity with trauma center protocols and Team Nursing care models
