Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during night shift hours
• Manage a patient assignment in accordance with unit staffing ratios (expected 1:6 or 1:7 on nights)
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including neurological status using NIHSS protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with facility standards

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• NIHSS certification required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 3–4 years of recent Medical Surgical experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former permanent employees must have been separated from the facility for a minimum of 2 years before returning as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a telemetry or step-down environment
• Familiarity with high-acuity Medical Surgical patient populations
