Contract | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 3x12-hour shifts | Expected 36–48 hours/week | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with a target ratio of 1:6
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings; perform IV starts as needed
• Care for a surgical patient population including colorectal, general surgery, hepatobiliary, orthopedic, urology, and vascular cases
• Document accurately using EPIC and utilize Pyxis and SBAR communication standards
• Participate in self-scheduling based on unit needs and nurse manager input, including occasional float assignments
• Work every other weekend as required by unit scheduling

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid Compact state license (pending licensure acceptable for submission)
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Must be available to work 2 of 3 major holidays; no RTO during the first week of assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC, Pyxis, and SBAR communication
• Prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers will be considered)
• Familiarity with surgical patient populations across multiple specialties
• Comfort with occasional floating within or near the facility
