Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | 2 weekends per month required | Holiday rotation as needed | On-call: 1 shift per month
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Administer and monitor intravenous drips and medications within scope of practice
- Participate in weekend coverage, holiday rotation, and on-call shifts as scheduled
- Float within scope of practice to other units as operationally needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active Kansas RN license or valid Compact RN license
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical experience in a hospital setting
- New graduates are not eligible for this position
- Local candidates are welcome and accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience managing IV drips including Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, and Cardizem
- Familiarity with acute care protocols and high-acuity Med/Surg patient populations
