Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments in accordance with RN scope of practice, considering patient culture, age, and developmental level
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care in coordination with the patient, family, and inter-professional team
• Fully implement patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy within scope of practice, explaining procedures and treatments to patients and families
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition; conduct and document ongoing assessments using the nursing process
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor accuracy and completeness of delegated care provided by other team members
• Facilitate patient discharge processes, including discharge teaching and coordination with Case Management and other disciplines as indicated

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) required
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the care team
• Proficiency or ability to be trained in relevant computer systems and applications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous nursing experience in an operating room or surgical setting
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
