Travel RN – Emergency Room | Holiday Coverage (16 Weeks)

Contract | 16 Weeks | Night Shift | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Every other weekend required | No RTO or special scheduling accommodations available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, 101-bed Emergency Department with patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical patients and up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Work flexibly across all sections of the ED; no floating outside of the ED
• Utilize Cerner for clinical documentation and Baxter pumps and GE monitors for patient care
• Collaborate with ED techs (cardiac monitoring unit, internal processing area, triage) and unit clerks to deliver coordinated, team-based care
• Adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET, respectful behavior, and keeping patient boards and patients updated throughout their visit
• Maintain all required certifications and demonstrate the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback within the department

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in North Carolina (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
• ACLS required prior to submission
• BLS required prior to submission
• PALS required prior to submission
• TNCC required prior to submission
• NIHSS required prior to submission
• ENPC required prior to submission
• CPI required by date of hire
• Strong teamwork mentality and flexibility to work in all areas of the ED

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 years of experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
• Previous experience within an HCA-affiliated facility
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records
• Experience working in a multicultural, diverse patient population environment
