Key Responsibilities

• Provide shift report and manage a patient assignment of up to 10 patients, working collaboratively with Mental Health Technicians (MHTs)
• Administer medications following proper consent procedures, including obtaining guardian consent prior to medication administration for youth patients
• Perform accurate and timely charting on assigned patients using Epic electronic health records and Pyxis medication systems
• Manage aggressive or escalating situations using de-escalation techniques in collaboration with team members
• Facilitate and participate in treatment plan sessions; coordinate admissions and discharges, including communication with parents and guardians
• Complete and submit Department of Child Services (DCS) reports as required

Required Qualifications

• Active Indiana RN license or valid Compact RN license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only) required
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with youth in a psychiatric setting
• Candidates with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) training or certification
• Experience with Epic charting and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Familiarity with Department of Child Services (DCS) reporting requirements
• 2–3 years of experience in a youth psychiatric or behavioral health setting
