Contract | 12-Hour Shifts (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients (18+) in an inpatient substance use disorder setting with 104 beds, including 20 detox and 84 residential beds
- Perform and monitor COWS (Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale) and CIWAs (Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment) assessments
- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:10, working alongside a patient care technician each shift
- Document patient care accurately using EHR-HCS electronic health records system
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing (DON) or on-call administration as needed throughout the shift
Required Qualifications
- Active Indiana RN license or valid Compact RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Aegis certification required (may be obtained on site)
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient substance abuse treatment experience
- Proficiency with COWS and CIWA assessments
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working with voluntary adult patient populations in a behavioral health or SUD setting
- Familiarity with EHR-HCS documentation platform
- Experience in detox or residential treatment environments
