Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information to identify needs and determine testing parameters in conjunction with the ordering physician or Medical Director and center protocols
• Perform comprehensive polysomnographic data acquisition, including PSGs, MSLT, MWT, PAP titrations, parasomnias studies, and oxygen titration, while monitoring tracing quality and ensuring artifact-free signals
• Prepare, calibrate, and maintain all polysomnographic equipment; perform physiologic calibrations and make adjustments as necessary
• Prepare home sleep testing equipment and educate patients on proper use prior to testing
• Document all clinical observations, sleep states, clinical events, and pertinent patient information to facilitate accurate scoring and interpretation of results
• Serve as a resource to providers during clinic hours and assist with staff training and oversight as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential required
• Current BLS certification required
• Completion of a CAAHEP or STAR-designated Polysomnography Program
• Minimum of six (6) months of experience working as a Polysomnographic Technologist
• Strong knowledge of sleep disorders and polysomnographic testing procedures
• Must maintain a minimum of 10 continuing education hours per year

• Ability to perform difficult and unusual polysomnographic procedures and therapeutic interventions
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong customer service, communication, and active listening skills with a patient-centered approach
