Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:00) | Expected 36–48 hours/week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with patient ratios of 1:4 (days/weekends) and 1:5 (nights)
• Manage and monitor patients with diagnoses including respiratory illnesses, renal illnesses, diabetes, sepsis, cellulitis, infections, heart failure, sickle cell, and cystic fibrosis
• Document patient care and clinical data accurately using Epic EMR
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed per facility policy
• Work every other weekend and a minimum of 2 out of 3 winter holidays as required

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• Maximum of 40 hours of requested time off per 13-week contract; all RTO must be disclosed at time of submission
• Must adhere to facility float policy; travelers must float within their scope of practice as needed
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (mileage rule applies to select units; verify applicability)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Prior experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry settings
• Familiarity with managing complex, multi-diagnosis patient populations
