Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend and holiday availability required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an advanced cardiac care unit serving patients with heart failure, chest pain rule-out, NSTEMI, post-procedure recovery, COPD exacerbation, and drug/ETOH overdose and withdrawal
• Administer and manage IV drips including heparin, nitroglycerin, amiodarone, Cardizem, and insulin; competency in IV drip management is required
• Read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips; perform and demonstrate EKG/telemetry competency
• Complete EKG/Dysrhythmia competency assessment and required lab work within 72 hours of contract signing
• Perform IV starts and maintain proficiency with related clinical skills
• Float to other units or nearby facilities based on skill set and census needs; candidates must be comfortable floating without restrictions

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in any state or a valid compact nursing license in good standing; no past license disciplinary actions accepted
• BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Prior experience in a cardiac stepdown, telemetry, or advanced care unit setting
• Familiarity with N95 fit testing or PAPR use in clinical environments
