Registered Nurse – Cardiac Step-Down

Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Rotating weekends | Holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Cardiac Step-Down unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and manage cardiac patients requiring telemetry monitoring
• Perform IV starts and other required clinical skills within scope of practice
• Float between like units or campuses as needed based on census and staffing needs, adjusting to the ratio of the assigned unit
• Participate in rotating weekend coverage and holiday shifts as required
• May be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Multistate/Compact RN license — candidates will not be cleared to start until an active SC license is issued; pending licensure may be considered at time of submission with proof of application
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Step-Down or relevant RN experience
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and IV starts required
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be considered under standard eligibility; local candidates within 60 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR
• Familiarity with acute care hospital environments
