Travel RN – Emergency Room | Holiday Coverage (16-Week Contract)

Contract | Travel | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 16 Weeks | Every other weekend required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios typically 4:1 (up to 7:1 for behavioral holds)
• Demonstrate flexibility to work across all sections within the ED; no floating outside of the Emergency Department
• Utilize Cerner for clinical documentation and operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET, respectful behavior practices, and keeping patient boards and communication updated throughout each visit
• Collaborate with techs, cardiac monitoring unit staff, triage personnel, and unit clerks to support efficient department operations
• Maintain all required certifications (ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, ENPC) prior to submission; CPI required by date of hire

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required prior to submission
• ENPC certification required prior to submission
• CPI certification required by date of hire
• Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback; flexibility to work in all areas of the ED
• RTO and special scheduling requests will not be accommodated; scheduling must meet the needs of the department

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Level II Trauma Center or comprehensive stroke center environment
• Background in a high-volume Emergency Department (100,000+ annual visits)
• Previous experience working within an HCA-affiliated facility
