Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Expected 36 hours/week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to cardiac patients including those with diagnoses such as Congestive Heart Failure, Arrhythmias, and pre/post cardiac catheterization
• Monitor and manage patients on cardiac drips including Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine, and Diltiazem
• Perform specialized procedures including Sheath Pulls, TR Bands, and Femstop management
• Document patient care using EPIC and communicate using SBAR methodology; administer medications via Pyxis
• Float to other units as needed based on facility need; weekend shifts expected (approximately 5–6 shifts per 6-week scheduling period)
• May be assigned to a Storm Team or Hurricane Team and expected to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid Compact RN license (pending licensure acceptable at time of submission)
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac Telemetry, PCU, IMC, or Stepdown nursing
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Must be open to floating within or near the facility as needed
• Local candidates (within 50 miles of the facility) are welcome; a local rate applies

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with pacemaker and ICD implantation patient care
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity cardiac environment with a 1:5–6 patient ratio
