Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 36- or 48-hour contracts accepted | Contract lengths of 13–26 weeks considered

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Monitor and care for patients in an isolation area designated for COVID-positive patients; stepdown-level patients are managed by separate stepdown staff
• Utilize Pyxis, Epic, and SBAR for medication administration, documentation, and communication
• Float to other units within or near the facility as needed
• Work every other weekend as required by the unit schedule
• Be available and prepared to serve on a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team; contract staff may be expected to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters, and may be reassigned to units as operationally needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid Compact RN license (pending licensure acceptable at time of submission)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Must be available for hospital orientation during week 1, including daily classes (approximately 8–10 hours of pre-start online modules required, non-billable, to be completed before start date using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge)
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are welcome to apply; a local rate will apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge nurse experience preferred
• First-time travelers are accepted and encouraged to apply
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and stepdown-level patient populations
