Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ICU setting, with potential floating to the Telemetry unit based on staffing needs
• Deliver specialized care including stroke care and STEMI care protocols
• Operate and monitor advanced cardiac support devices including Impella and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
• Work every other weekend, with flexibility for additional weekend shifts based on staffing needs and traveler preference
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Missouri RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; first-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of ICU experience in a Level 1 facility
• Proficiency or ability to quickly learn Meditech EMR; prior Meditech experience strongly preferred
• 2 professional references required
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Impella and intra-aortic balloon pump management
• Experience with stroke and STEMI care in a high-acuity environment
• Meditech EMR experience
• Flexibility with scheduling, including weekend availability beyond the standard every-other-weekend requirement
