Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with solid tumor cancers, including breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, esophageal, and other diagnoses, across all stages of the cancer journey from new diagnosis through end-of-life transition
• Administer and monitor antineoplastic chemotherapy treatments in accordance with unit protocols
• Perform telemetry interpretation and monitoring for assigned patients
• Maintain a strong focus on infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention
• Manage true medical-surgical patient issues in addition to oncology-specific care needs
• Float to other Medical Surgical Oncology units as needed based on staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license — compact or Ohio state license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and monitoring
• Experience with computerized charting; EPIC utilized on unit
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required; at least 1 must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership capacity (Charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references accepted)
• Locals are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology nursing experience preferred, though not required
• ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
