Contract | 8 Weeks | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | 12-Hour Shifts | Every-Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to telemetry and medical-surgical patients, including boarded patients within the Emergency Department setting
- Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; EKG proficiency is required
- Float to other medical-surgical units as needed based on census and staffing demands
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
- Adhere to holiday coverage requirements as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- BLS certification required
- Passing EKG test required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Telemetry or Medical-Surgical setting
- New graduates are not eligible for this position
- Must submit: resume, 2 professional references, skills checklist, copies of certifications and license verification, BLS, and passing EKG test results
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 4 or more years of Telemetry or Medical-Surgical RN experience preferred
- Experience with Epic electronic health records system
