Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Weekdays with some weekend rotation | Float position

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services across Critical Care and General Care settings for adult and/or pediatric patient populations
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs as required
• Float to sister facilities as needed
• Document patient care and clinical information using Cerner electronic health records
• Adhere to all facility infection control, compliance, and safety protocols, including required fit testing prior to start

Required Qualifications

• Active RRT or CRT credential
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• PALS and NALS certifications required for pediatric cases
• WV state license or Compact license required; pending license accepted for submission
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31); medical exemption with documented allergist or physician record accepted
• Candidates must have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility; candidates between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center or major teaching hospital environment
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records charting
• Experience with both adult and pediatric respiratory patient populations
