Registered Nurse – Long Term Care / Post-Acute Skilled Nursing Rehab

Contract | Nights | Monday–Sunday rotating schedule (no block schedules)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to a post-acute skilled nursing rehab patient population, primarily adults aged 60+, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:14
- Perform unit-specific clinical procedures including phlebotomy, EKGs, patient transports, nebulizer-to-inhaler conversions, and starting IVs
- Utilize EPIC for all documentation and medication management
- Float to Long-Term Care and Memory Care units on an occasional, as-needed basis
- Work a minimum of every other weekend and/or adjust schedule to meet unit and patient care needs
- Work 2 out of 4 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Year's Day
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be on file at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a post-acute, LTC, or SNF setting
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years — required and non-negotiable
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Must be able to pass a 7-year background check (nationwide, county court searches, FACIS 3, and sex offender) completed within 18 months of start date; FACIS 3 and VCIC required within 30 days of start
- Reliable personal or rental vehicle required — public transportation is not accessible in this area; all-season or snow tires strongly recommended November through April
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Dementia capable care certification preferred
- Experience working in a post-acute skilled nursing rehabilitation environment
- Familiarity with IV pump operation and related infusion procedures
