Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 7A–7P | 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
Key Responsibilities
- Perform lab draws, IV insertions, and Foley catheter insertions; administer IV fluids and medications including antibiotics
- Prepare patients for surgical and non-surgical procedures
- Manage admissions and discharges within the unit workflow
- Attend daily huddle at 0645/1845, conduct bedside shift report, and complete required daily charting using the Expanse EMR
- Communicate effectively with physicians regarding patient status and care plans
- Float to other areas within skill set as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS certification required
- Familiarity with Expanse EMR, including admissions and discharges
- Telemetry experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous hands-on Expanse EMR experience
- Ability to draw labs independently
- At least one year of acute care experience in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry or stepdown unit
