Registered Nurse – Respiratory / Medical-Surgical (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required | No call requirement | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care primarily on a Respiratory unit, including care of patients with respiratory conditions
• Float as needed across various Medical-Surgical units, which may include Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED/Med-Surg boarder assignments
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings; telemetry competency will be assessed on the first day of assignment
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR — proficiency is required prior to start

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license required
• Active BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of current and recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience required
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry independently
• Epic EMR proficiency required — must be documented at time of submission; on-site orientation or remedial Epic training is not available

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Respiratory nursing or care of patients with respiratory illnesses
• Familiarity with a multi-specialty Med-Surg environment, including Oncology, Stroke, or Cardiac units
