Contract | Full-Time | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Weekends may be required based on scheduling needs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care for post-surgical patients, including orthopedic, general surgery, and neurological populations, utilizing the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner
• Assess patient and family learning needs; provide education and identify appropriate resources
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers to effectively manage the clinical situation

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of employment or a valid compact license
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Ability to work weekends as needed based on unit scheduling

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Medical/Surgical nursing specialty
• Experience with Epic EMR
