Occupational Therapist – Travel Contract

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Tuesday through Saturday (occasional schedule changes with approval)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to inpatient rehabilitation patients, with expected caseloads of 4–6 patients per day and sessions ranging from 30 to 120 minutes, totaling approximately 6–6.5 hours of patient care daily
• Work with patients presenting with complex medical needs including chest tubes, JP drains, wound vacs, tracheostomies, and PEG tubes
• Utilize unit equipment including Hoyer lifts, LiteGait, Sara Stand, and standard OT/PT equipment to support patient mobility and rehabilitation goals
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Demonstrate flexible scheduling to accommodate patient care needs; must be available to work one major and one minor holiday if they fall within the assignment rotation
• Float to acute care as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active State of Texas Occupational Therapy License
• Current CPR/BLS Certification
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary therapy team
• Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule based on patient care needs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior inpatient rehabilitation experience
• Neuro rehabilitation experience
