• Travel, 6-week assignment, Days shift, 12-hour shifts, 4 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care to pediatric cardiac ICU patients, including postoperative management of congenital heart disease.
• Perform procedures such as central line and arterial line placement, intubation, conscious sedation, and post-operative recovery.
• Monitor patients using advanced equipment like ventilators, GE radiant warmers, and NIRS machines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care and safety.
• Adhere to unit policies, safety protocols, and documentation standards within a fast-paced PICU environment.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of PICU or CVICU experience as a staff nurse.
• At least 1 year of pediatric CICU experience.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
• Experience caring for patients with congenital heart disease, including post-op management and arterial/central line management.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• More than 2 years of pediatric CICU/CVICU experience.
• At least 1 year of neonatal cardiac patient care (pre- and post-operative).
• Experience with ECMO cannulation/decannulation and CRRT is a plus.
• Skilled in managing complex cardiac procedures and equipment.
