Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive palliative nursing care to patients in a hospice setting.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, symptom management, and care options.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate health records.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of three (3) years of current nursing experience in a comparable patient care setting; hospice experience preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Valid driver’s license, current auto liability insurance, and reliable transportation (mileage paid at government rate).
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in hospice or palliative care settings.
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
