Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 8-hour shifts, Days, 5 days per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive palliative nursing care to patients in a hospice setting.
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely.
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, symptom management, and care options.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate health records.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of three (3) years of current nursing experience in a comparable patient care setting; hospice experience preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid driver’s license, current auto liability insurance, and reliable transportation (mileage paid at government rate).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in hospice or palliative care settings.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
