Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical
Location: Bethel, AK
Schedule / Job Type: Days, full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Coordinate nursing care based on established nursing practice standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality, cost-effective, and efficient patient outcomes.
- Serve as a resource to team members and adapt care to age-specific and cultural considerations.
- Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, including 24-hour re-assessments.
- Support the organization’s mission by providing compassionate and professional nursing services for patients of all ages, including post-surgical and behavioral health cases.
Required Qualifications:
- Completed nursing education program from an NLN-approved institution.
- Licensed and in good standing as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical nursing preferred.
- Current CPR (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- For international candidates: NCLEX, TOEFL, and Visa Screen completed, as the facility is a designated high-need H1-C area.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience caring for a diverse patient population across all age groups.
