Location: Sioux Falls, SD
Schedule / Job Type: Rotating shifts, full-time (schedule details not specified)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and coordinate resident care in accordance with facility standards and individual care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately to assigned residents.
- Monitor and respond to residents' needs, modifying care plans as necessary.
- Safeguard residents’ property and maintain their privacy and confidentiality.
- Promote residents’ independence and quality of life.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and orderly living environment for residents.
- Process physician orders promptly and notify relevant staff of changes in residents’ conditions.
- Observe, document, and report residents’ conditions accurately.
- Respond promptly to resident call lights and assist with resident education.
- Use electronic medical records (EMR) system effectively and safely operate transfer equipment, including gait belts, lifts, and slide boards.
- Follow safety protocols related to department-specific safety, fire, and disaster plans.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Valid RN licensure for the state of practice (South Dakota).
- BLS certification.
- Basic nursing skills and knowledge of medication effects and side effects.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Experience working in long-term care or skilled nursing facility settings.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
- Knowledge of resident safety and transfer techniques.
