Job Title

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Contract (up to 26 weeks), Day shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities
• Provide respiratory therapy care to pediatric and adult patients in a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center
• Administer treatments, monitor patient response, and collaborate with healthcare teams
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner charting system
• Float within scope to cover NICU, PICU, and other critical care units as needed
• Ensure compliance with all licensing and certification requirements
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and care standards

Required Qualifications
• Valid State Respiratory Therapist License (DC license required within 24-48 hours of signing; pending applications accepted with proof and application date)
• Certifications: RRT (National Certification), BLS, PALS (all required prior to start)
• Minimum 1 year recent pediatric respiratory experience; 2+ years preferred for travelers
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and participate in every other weekend rotation

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Pediatric critical care experience strongly preferred
• Experience working in a Magnet Hospital environment
• Flexibility to float within pediatric critical care units
