Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care to adults and geriatrics in IMC, PCU, or Stepdown units, primarily managing acquired diagnoses such as acute leukemia.
• Monitor telemetry readings, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond promptly to rapid response team alerts.
• Administer IV therapies, blood products, and manage central and peripheral lines, including PICC lines.
• Ensure infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures are followed diligently.
• Document patient status and interventions accurately using electronic medical records (EPIC).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license (compact or state license in hand).
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in acute or hematology units.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and IV therapy.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ONS Chemotherapy Certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Experience with infectious disease protocols and fall prevention strategies.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
