Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac, vascular, and medical patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown units.
• Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and manage complex medical conditions including post-operative cardiac and vascular surgeries.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record system.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and patient care guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or eligible for licensure in NC.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent cardiac, vascular, or stepdown nursing experience.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and IV therapy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing patient needs.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with post-surgical cardiac and vascular procedures (e.g., CABG, TAVR, lobectomy, AAA repair, fem-pop bypass).
• Experience working in a similar IMC/PCU/stepdown setting within the last year.
• Knowledge of cardiac medication management (e.g., inotropes, vasopressors, anticoagulants).

Additional Details

• Hours per shift: 0.5 (part-time)
• Shifts per week: 72 days
• Shift timing: Days
• Worksite: 509 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801
• Shift hours: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• No on-call duty; weekend shifts required (minimum of 6 weekends over 6 weeks).
• Dress code: Navy or white scrubs.
