Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, and administer physical therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities.
• Assist in relieving pain, enhancing mobility, and promoting healing through delegated therapeutic interventions under supervision.
• Record treatments provided and monitor patient progress, ensuring all care follows the established plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques.
• Complete necessary documentation in accordance with company policies and state/federal regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• Certification from the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for PTAs.
• Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions from a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Physical stamina to assist with patient movement and exercises.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• At least 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility.
