Schedule / Job Type
- Contract, 13 weeks with possible extension, Days shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including neurology/stroke cases
- Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, perform IV starts, and administer medications as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records using EPIC
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols, including NIHSS assessments and PAPR guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Valid VA or compact nursing license in hand
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications through American Heart Association
- EPIC Electronic Medical Record proficiency (no exceptions)
- Minimum 2 years recent tele and neurology/stroke experience
- Compact or VA license in hand (no exceptions)
- Current NURSYS report and Qualivis Cover Sheet with RTO details included
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with IV starts and telemetry interpretation
- Prior travel nursing experience within the last two years
- Familiarity with hospital modules and EKG interpretation testing requirements
- Ability to meet travel compliance standards, including radius and background restrictions
