- Full-time, day shifts, approximately 10 hours per shift, 4 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pediatric cardiac perfusion support during surgical procedures in a Level 3 Trauma facility
- Operate specialized perfusion equipment including Spectrum HLM, Hemochron Jr., and VADS (Centrimag, Pedimag, Heartmate III, Berlin)
- Ensure proper patient management for ages 0-21 years with congenital heart conditions
- Maintain adherence to safety and operational protocols, including COVID vaccination requirements
- Participate in orientation sessions scheduled weekly on Mondays, with continuous clinical support and coverage during scheduled hours
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of perfusion experience, including at least 1 year recent experience in a Level 3 Trauma setting
- Pediatric experience strongly preferred
- Ability to operate Point-Of-Care (POC) devices effectively
- High school diploma or college degree (required for CAPS certification)
- Active American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) certification
- Tennessee Clinical Perfusionist License
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel or temporary assignment experience
- Experience with pediatric congenital heart surgery cases involving VADS (Ventricular Assist Devices) such as Pedimag, CentriMag, Heartmate III, Berlin
- Familiarity with operating and troubleshooting specialized perfusion equipment in high-pressure environments
