Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Days shifts, 12.5 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide acute, compassionate nursing care to ER patients in a high-volume trauma and stroke center
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure timely patient assessment, treatment, and documentation
• Monitor patient conditions using GE monitors and Baxter pumps; perform procedures as required
• Maintain patient safety and comfort through respectful, quality communication following AIDET guidelines
• Document patient care accurately within the Cerner system and update boards throughout visits
• Support unit functions, including triage, internal processing, and unit clerical tasks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license and active certification in BLS and ACLS before start date
• 2+ years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an ER setting
• Experience in Level 2 trauma or comprehensive stroke centers preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a teamwork focus
• Flexibility to float within all sections of the Emergency Department

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience working in high-volume emergency departments with over 100,000 visits annually
• Familiarity with GE monitors and Baxter pumps
• Experience in hospitals with diverse, multicultural patient populations

Additional Information

• Orientation: 4 hours hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour shift on the floor
• Dress code: Navy scrubs for RNs; other designated colors for support staff
• Unit policies, including attendance and recognition programs, will be provided on day one
