Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, nights, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory treatments primarily for adult patients in inpatient settings including ICU, post-ICU, medical, surgical, OB, and ED departments.
• Conduct procedures such as ABGs and EKGs.
• Assist with intubation procedures as needed.
• Provide care under trained supervision, with in-house intensivist or hospitalist coverage.
• Adhere to hospital protocols including orienting on departmental-specific equipment and understanding patient care requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Valid IL respiratory therapist license or confirmation of application process.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ACLS certification.
• Active department-specific orientation, minimum 3 shifts.
• Understanding of EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Ability to assist with intubation and perform respiratory procedures.
• Last four digits of SSN and middle initial required for submission.
• Confirmation of negative drug screen and understanding of hospital policies.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with ventilator models including PB980, PB840, Avea, Servo, ENVE.
• Knowledge of Bipap V60, CPAP Resmed, and Vapotherm HHF.
• Prior experience working with adult patients and familiarity with diverse inpatient units.
