• Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location
• Hays, KS
Schedule / Job Type
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, acute care hospital, travel assignment
Key Responsibilities
• Provide bedside nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit
• Stabilize and transfer neonates, including managing deliveries prior to 34 weeks' gestation when necessary
• Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure safe and efficient patient care during labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including coverage on different units as required
• Complete documentation accurately in Meditech charting system
• Adhere to hospital policies regarding on-call duties and holiday work
Required Qualifications
• Kansas or Compact state RN license (active or pending acceptable)
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery or maternal/newborn care
• Ability to deliver infants over 34 weeks' gestation and stabilize/staff transfer as needed
• Negative 13-panel drug screen within 30 days and ability to go into the lab within 24 hours of signing
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with emergent deliveries and neonatal stabilization
• Prior experience working in a level 3 trauma hospital
• Comfortable working night shifts in an acute care setting
