Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, Night shifts, 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care in a 42-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit, focusing on cardiac and medical patients.
• Float to other units and hospitals as needed, delivering quality care across various specialties such as pneumonia, COPD, GI issues, diabetes, stroke, and surgical patients.
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6, ensuring safety and health outcomes.
• Administer treatments for chest pain, arrhythmias, shortness of breath, and other cardiac concerns.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including holiday and weekend shifts, ensuring continuous patient care.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system using Meditech.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in Alabama or a compact state (no temporary licenses accepted)
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross
• Associated degree in nursing (ASN or BSN)
• At least 2 years of recent experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry unit

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a cardiac telemetry setting
• Willingness to float across units and facilities
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical records
