Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care for telemetry and medical-surgical units, including ED hold patients, with focus on patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care and effective communication.
- Monitor and document patient status using Epic electronic health record system.
- Manage IVs, bladder scans, blood draws from central lines, and glucose monitoring.
- Support other tele units as scheduled, including working in ECC/Emergency Department for ED hold patients.
- Adhere to facility protocols, dress code, and documentation standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of recent, relevant nursing experience in a telemetry or medical-surgical setting.
- Current BLS certification.
- NIHSS certification prior to start date.
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (non-negotiable).
- Valid RN license on file at the time of submission.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CMSRN certification or relevant additional credentials.
- Experience working on Level 2 trauma or teaching hospitals is a plus.
- Familiarity with strong patient ratios and unit-specific procedures.

Additional Information
- Travel rate: $100 per hour; local rate: $90; radius: 50 miles or less; distance measured straight-line.
- License required to be on file at submission.
- Reliable transportation is essential; personal or rental vehicle recommended, equipped with all-season or snow tires during winter months.
- No block schedules; schedule may be adjusted based on unit needs.
- All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained.
- Orientation: 1 day.
- Dress code: Navy blue and white scrubs, solid colors, comfortable shoes, minimal jewelry, groomed appearance.
- This position may include working in different tele units and involves rotating as scheduled.
- No weekend call requirements; holiday shifts as scheduled.
- Unit includes Med Surg Oncology, Orthopedics, and Urology (ALC) units, with patient ages 25-99.
- Bed counts on units: R5 (24 beds), R6 (24 beds), R7 (25 beds).
- Ancillary staff support includes PCT/CNA, Unit clerks.
- Equipment: IV pumps, bladder scanner, respiratory support available 24/7.
- Manage ventilators through respiratory team; perform unit-specific procedures as needed.
