Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in labor and delivery and postpartum units, ensuring the safety and well-being of mothers and newborns.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver postpartum and delivery care according to protocols.
- Utilize electronic medical records systems, such as EPIC, to document patient information accurately.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal conditions, utilizing C-EFM certification when available.
- Participate in rotating on-call duties, including 12-24 hours on-call per schedule, as required.
- Work every other weekend and holiday shifts according to unit needs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery or Postpartum units.
- Valid Nursing license in the state of Connecticut.
- BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with circulating or PACU nursing.
- EPIC electronic medical record system experience.
- C-EFM certification.
