Respiratory Therapist
Location: Carbondale, IL
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patient outcomes and modify care plans within a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide clear instructions and education to patients and their families regarding respiratory conditions and discharge procedures.
• Administer respiratory therapies ordered by physicians, maintaining ongoing communication with medical and nursing staff.
• Share clinical knowledge and serve as a role model for staff and students.
• Plan, implement, and assess the effectiveness of respiratory care interventions.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care delivery.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
• Valid Illinois Respiratory Therapist license.
• BLS certification.
• RRT credential.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience working in a hospital emergency or ICU setting preferred.
• Knowledge of advanced respiratory procedures and technologies.
