Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 8-hour shifts, rotating shifts with weekend coverage and voluntary call, approximately 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional perioperative nursing care in the operating room, following AORN standards and hospital policies.
- Assess patients pre-, intra-, and post-operatively to develop and update individualized care plans.
- Ensure the availability and functionality of supplies and equipment necessary for safe surgical procedures.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to aseptic and safety principles during all surgical interventions.
- Document patient care, surgical specimens, and relevant procedural information accurately.
- Educate patients and families about perioperative procedures and postoperative care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of 2 years of operating room nursing experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Completion of an accredited registered nurse program; BSN preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with perioperative nursing practices and the use of biomedical equipment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate professionally at all times.
- Strong technical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to participate in in-house OR training if needed.
