Key Responsibilities
- Assess and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients.
- Complete evaluations, care plans, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
- Communicate with insurance companies regarding benefits.
- Prepare and conduct evaluation and treatment sessions.
- Educate healthcare staff on assessment results and treatment recommendations.
- Develop educational presentations and in-service sessions for staff.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver patient-centered care.
- Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment.
- Provide reminder calls and assist patients and families with hospital navigation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist license or certification.
- Experience in assessing and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Strong documentation skills for evaluations and reports.
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a healthcare team.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Familiarity with insurance procedures and benefits.
- Knowledge of current research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
